Chicken Bacon Ranch Burger
Yields 4 burgers
2 - SP each
Ingredients:
- 1pound(s)uncooked ground chicken breast
- 1 3⁄4ozcrisp cooked bacon
- 4servingHidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix, Unprepared
- 4ozMusselman Apple Sauce, Unsweetened, Natural
- salt and pepper to taste
- How to:
- cook the bacon until it is nice and crispy using your favorite method.
- I just fried it in a pan until it was well done and dried all of the remaining grease off with paper towels.
- let the bacon cool until it is close to room temperature (10 or 15 minutes should do the trick)
- combine the ground chicken, apple sauce, ranch seasoning, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl
- crumble up the bacon and incorporate it into the ground chicken mixture
- form the mixture into four 1/4 lb patties and cook to an internal temperature of 165
- enjoy with your favorite toppings
Some Notes:
- The mixture is a bit loose, so they don't do well on the grill in the yard. They work just fine in a frying pan or a grill pan though.
- Feel free to add some other mix-ins like diced onions and garlic or even fresh thyme and rosemary
